I need some help! Cracked front license plate holder!
So I made a bit of a mistake and bumped into something, cracked my front license plate holder last year, for a quick fix I used electrical tape and went over it with a coat of paint just so it didn't look like total garbage
So I looked and the license plate holder is held onto my ride by 2 rivets, now before I go and drill them out, what can I do for a replacement that wont look like crap? I think a smoother look will be better than the protruding license plate holder I have now.
Here'* a picture of my car, hehe god it looks great (aside from my crappy touch up paint jobs)

Rivets? Every plate I've seen from GM was mounted with bolts. Can you please get a pic of that.
As for a fix w/o removal, try JB Weld.. you can sand and paint it when it'* cured.

My 2000 Regal GSE was rivited on as well. When I cracked mine, we went and got a new one, drilled out the rivits and used screws to hold it back on. Looked just like it did before I broke it.
The issue you'll have if you move the location of the plate is two holes where the plate was. I would think your best bet is to get a new holder like you have.

Need detailed photos to be sure how to fix it.
As for the rivets, carefully drilling them out should make it easy to cleanly replace them with bolts/screws.
As to covering the crack, there'* a couple of threads that have the info on the texturizer people use to modify plastic and have it look stock afterwards....

cool thanks a lot guys, I was actually thinking of trying to put something other than the stock holder on (nothing tacky or gross looking of course) but instead I might just go with this.

So, you do have options, especially since you have a dark car too....
