Obviously, kits are available, but I think I would pay a pro to do this on an 05....or go to the dealer you got the car from and just start crying about it. They MIGHT give you a new seat cover....Or they might tell you to go kiss the dark side of the moon?

Worth a try.

We get em all the time......"I don't know how that burn mark got there...it must have been one of the workers at the assembly plant that was smoking on the job"......

And there ash tray is full of cigarette butts and the lighter is full of ashes.

Good luck!

thanks for the tips everyone..

i called the dealership and it'* going to cost me $130 to get the hole fixed and infortunately, i just don't have the money to pay for it.. plus the hole is really small and i wouldnt need a whole seat cover or a huge repair job...

i called Autozone but they are out of stock of the leather/vinyl repair kit. so i have to wait until they get some more kits in and i'm going to try to do it myself. I'm usually pretty good fixing things.

and the hole was made with a comb (one of the ones with the pointy end)..

well, you do need to get it fixed, otherwise the butt weight will make it get bigger, and bigger, until your whole seat is eaten alive.

Get a whole new seat and make him repair it. My biggest pet peeve of all is damaged leather. I would have gone ape sh*t if I where in you're shoes.

Try the kit or check with local upholstery shops that do leather to see what they'll charge to fix it. For a hole that small they're going to patch it with some goo that sets and blends in with the leather. But for people with a big rip or tear in you leather, go to a leather upholstery shop. It is not difficult for them to remove the seat covering, cut out the damaged panel, and sew in a new leather panel. I'm sure that will cost you more than you want to spend for your tiny hole, but it'* good to spread the word as other members may find it useful. My wife'* old 88 Grand Prix had cloth seats and the back seat tops got sunrotted. It was actually not very hard to remove the seat back, de-hogring the covering, trace out new panels onto newspaper, and use them as a pattern to cut new panels from new upholstery material and sew it all together with a sewing machine, then re-hogring the cover in place and reinstall the seat cushion.

Check out

There'* an item called crack filler. I recommend them highly!
top it off with their leather dye to match.
And if you are a real stickler like me.... they'll custom color match it perfectly!
It'll be Invisible, ...... and strong!!
