I had my much larger neighbor sit in there too. We have more room there in the 92-99 than the 2k. My neighbor is 6' tall and pushing 200 pounds. His knee doesn't touch it.
Besides, it'* removable anyway. I planned ahead. In that pic, My foot is on the loud pedal. Andrew, if your knee would hit that, you must be a dwarf. Your knee would be farther UP. This is about mid-calf.

I CAN touch it with my leg if I lean my leg over there (it'* actually a convenient 'rest' postition), but in natural driving position, I clear it by more than a comfortable inch. I doubt your calves are more less than 2" larger than mine in diameter.

Glassed it Saturday evening. Finished the last coat of color Sunday afternoon. Less than 24 hours. I was watching the race yesterday, doing coats during caution laps.
