Brittany, do you mean something like this?
I used masking tape to mask off the areas I didnt want black, and then simply some black paint with a tiny brush, I think I might have put some clear over the top to finish it off, but if you got some gloss black spray paint you could avoid doing this (spray in a cup, use a brush to apply several thin layers letting it dry in between)
