engine cover prep?
im not sure if this belongs here but i wanna paint my engine cover the same color as my car. do u guys think they sell that color in spray form? but what do i have to do to prepare the engine cover to paint? i was thinking to sand it down so the paint will hold. what grit do i use? and what do i use to cleane it before i paint it? and do i need primer? and what kinda paint? ive seen that new paint made for plastic.

Degrease it well, and scrub it with 000 or finer steel wool. Not enough to do any more than dull the finish. Degrease again. Can't stress this enough.
Buy SEM 39863 Plastic Adhesion Promoter. Follow the directions on the can, then paint to match.
