I think in time we all have this problem. had it on my 97 and has starting on my car now.
I dont see how PB would bring back the painted protective surface.

Im assuming that you mean the metal strips that sparat the to doors,
if so when i did mine (same problem that you are describing) I removed them santded them smooth and put a light coat of primer on sanded that smooth the base/cleared them, since you wouldnt be able to do that your self you could just sand them smooth, get some gloos black paint from canadian tire and paint then and they would look pretty damn good.
just not as good as mine J/K

ha ha probably not as good as yours.
Well not the vertical trim, the horizontal at bottom of window. I think I will try sanding and prime,and gloooooooooos paint.Is this special paint?

Thats exactly it Haro , i have two door trims that are peeling and other 2 are like yours.I keep the car washed and polished but this is a eyesore.My 1990 sse door trim looks almost new except for surface scratches.I cant justify paying $140 bucks for 1 of these.
