do you lay your leaf blower on the ground when aiming it at someone or something?

the chance of that happening is the same amount at a small rock or dirt getting on the water blade or the MF towel or what not.

Well actually, I've washed my car several times, even the inside edges of the wheel wells, and when drying, the absorber still picks up tiny dirt particles and other decent sized flakes of whatever, that can scratch the paint. Whether it'* crap from the air that falls on the car after it'* washed, or small stuff I missed with the wash mitt, it'* possible for any towel or drying cloth you use to scratch the paint. Microfiber would be worse IMO since the fibers attract that stuff easier.

That'* why I rinse the absorber after drying a section of the car. Even the tiniest particles can scratch the paint. It'* impossible to avoid even putting one tiny scratch on your car by accident (and most of these scratches we're talking about are very fine scratches), but there are ways to be more careful. The absorber is one of the safest things to use if you rinse it often.

Andrew asked a good question though, and that actually had crossed my mind too. What'* more risky, a leaf blower or a clean absorber? I'd probably say a leaf blower.

Or what if a baby gets sucked in and its pieces are splattered all over your white Ultra? What then mister?!

Anyway, that blade seems like it could cause scratches. Anyone have problems with one on a Bonnie?

At delta sonic we usejust regular towels that have just been washed with soap and hot water then after the spin cycle in the washing machine the should still be slightly damp and for some reason the dry alot better when the towels are damp without leaving streaks and as a bonus you can mist a spray on wax type product before drying. try not to leave it sit in the sun when its wet because it can cause nasty waterspots that will stain especially with well water

Mr.clean auto dry... dries spotless in 10 minutes if its sitting in the sun.

Leaf blower? Do you know what velocity debris is travelling at when it hits your paint?

Pure Sheep Skin leather Chamois. Followed by a quick MF buff.

IMO the best care for a chamois is to freeze it after each use also when you buy a new Chamois soak it in Vinegar for 24 hours prior to use.

I would rather have a spec of dirt hit the paint in one tiny spot rather than a spec of dirt being ground across the hood under the blade.

and i would like to know where a debris would come from, since its just air that is accellerated coming out of a blower....basically its the same as going down the street, with out moving

again i will continue to disagree with people who use the blade...i saw it destroy a Acura TL Paint job over 3-4 uses.....deep scratches, and streaks resulting directly of the blade being used on the paint....

I've never had a scratch from the blade, nor has anyone else here.

Where'* the dirt come from in a blower?


Ummmm.....is there an intake? Does it have a FILTER? Is there anything in the blower itself that COULD come downstream to the outlet?
