I think for a extra laptop in & around the $300 crowd, it will probably do just fine.
No it'* not going to be a Intel i3 etc but it will do photo processing and web searching well.
4GB ram good, and 320GB drive they have decent storage space too.
I know Justin will like it way better than a Chromebook by far.
Look forward also to hear how it does there Justin!

your rams speed has alot to do with how fast it is, and its DDR3 and upgradable to 8G. I think it will be fine. there were a couple reviews that said they put more in and it was much faster. if it bothers me i will go that way, but i kind of doubt i will care. It has integrated wireless N to go along with my n router, and nice screen and graphics. thats most of what i care about

got the new one. im downloading updates and surfing the forum now and it seems to keep up pretty good. i am not real happy with windows 8 so far though, it took me like an hour to figure out how to get to most of the personalization stuff, thats ridiculous for someone who has my background. cant believe someone like my inlaws would ever find the stuff. there is a 8.1 that is supposed to be better and its free like the old service packs, i am looking into that now. one positive thing though is time from opening the lid to useable is like a quarter to a tenth of my previous xp computer.

8.1 is better. you can go right to the traditional desktop. i still cant find the mouse speed though. it also took two nights of updates before i could even download 8.1 and another night of just leaving it to get through the download and install.
