Default USB flash drive problems

I have a 2019 Malibu premier. I just traded my 2016 premier lease in. I use a USB for my music and it worked perfectly for the 3 years in my 2016. I have had nothing but issues in my new Malibu. It would not read the USB I previously used. I have bought three new ones and only one works occasionally. They are all 64 gb, formatted exfat and the music is ripped to mp3. Why can I only get one USB to work they are all brand new. 3 of my older ones don't work either. Also I'll be driving and all of q sudden the radio screen says no device connected and I have to remove my USB drive and plug it back in to get it to recognize it. This is a huge pain. Anyone help?

I'm wondering if it is just not quite in as far as it would prefer, as if the contacts are a little further back in the USB port. Try with a USB port saver:

. . . and see if that changes things.

Being a 2019, I think it would be best if he just took it to the dealer due to warranty.

That was my first thought, but then he'll go to the dealer and they won't find the problem and yada yada. What I don't know is the shape of Darth Vader'* flash drives versus his port on the car. Maybe they are a bit wide or something and don't insert all the way.

With this, Darth Vader can at least rule in/out all of his flash drive connectors before bringing the dark side of the force to his local GM technician.
