Default flat towing diesel

I have a 2020 Colorado ZR2 which will be flat towed behind my class A rv. the engine in the Colorado is a diesel. to tow you need to leave keys in acc position. does this affect "glow plugs" or any other components or should I use a battery disconnect? I'm assuming that if I don't use a disconnect it would be wise to install a charger system supplied by rv electrical

Accessory position is one click backwards correct? This won't unlock the steering wheel will it?

Are you standard or automatic? Are you disconnecting the driveshaft?

Maybe it'* 4WD and the transfer case is being set to "open" before the key is being turned to accessory?

I know only certain GM electronic transfer cases can be put into neutral. Blazers and Bravada'* do, but my *-10 does not.

My 1999 Suburban and 2001 YukonXL do it too. And a friend'* 2004 Tahoe and a different friend'* 2003 Avalanche too come to think of it.

I looked in the 2020 Colorado manual and it does it too (per page 299 and 173).

Back to the original question: Page 301 of the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado owner'* manual instructs to disconnect the negative battery cable for dinghy towing, then "Cover the negative battery post with a non-conductive material to prevent any contact with the negative battery terminal" . This would solve any concern with anything electrical.
