APP sensor bulletin (2011 Impala)
I just got a letter from Chevrolet yesterday about possible broken solder connection within the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor in my 2011 Impala. The letter did not say what other models may be covered.
It doesn't appear to be a full fledged recall but more of a service bulletin. The letter outlines the symptoms--DIC messages stating "Engine Power is Reduced", "Service Traction Control" or "Service Stabilitrak" and says not to take the car to the dealer unless it manifests those symptoms. Should the problem appear, GM will repair it up to 10 years from the date of original sale.
