Default 04 Venture van door stuck closed

I have an 04 Venture van with the passenger side manual sliding door stuck closed. I have the inside door panel off now but I am unable to find where to release the latch. Does anyone know or have a diagram of the latch mechanism and how it operates? Thanks

First, turn the overhead door switch to the off position....

If you have the panel off....just follow the rod from the door handle to the latch....the latch may be rusted.....move the lock/unlock rod to the latch assembly, repeatedly......same for the door rod.....if it still won't open, you will need to spray the latch assembly inside the door with something like PB Blaster....get it soaked....let it sit for awhile then do the rod procedure again.....hopefully it will come loose....if not, another shot of PB.....

Default stuck door

I don't have power doors so there'* no overhead switch. I have tried to spray wd-40 in the latch but so far no luck. It was sticking sometimes before this but now it won't budge. I will squirt it again.

Default .....

I don't usually push a product, but I have had great success with PB Blaster, over other penetrants......best I have ever used......really soak that latch at any opening you can see.....then like I said, repeatedly work the lock/unlock rods and also the door release rod......

Another thing to try, is put a pry bar on the inside between the door and pillar, creating a slight pressure as you work the rods.....

I didn't know you could get an '04 without a power sliding door.....
