2007 Escalade Catalytic Converters Replacement
with aftermarket (420 Code)
Has anyone attempted this on their own and if so did it
work out ??
Does the transmission brace need to be removed or can it slide
over the rail ??

You are taking a chance with a cheaper cat. Probably need to drop the support.

I had to move the support back on my Yukon to do it.

Magnaflow. After hacking out the old ones then getting the new ones welded in, I wish I had just bought the pre-formed section for an extra $150.00 to just bolt it in between the manifolds and exhaust.
Yeah, what carfixer007 said ^^^^^^^ except I put my jack and boards waaay back under the far end of the transfer case so I would have more room to roll around under there.
Yeah, except at 238,000 miles, 66% in rust states and 33% in the Rockies, the bolts were rather cross with the idea of doing anything. Lots of PB Blaster for days prior to the big event helped them along.
Also, be prepared to use a proper oxygen sensor socket and buy new oxygen sensors for when you go back together.
