When they asked if the vehicle had been driven in rough conditions, I expected to find a dented or scratched something underneath. It looks to me like the bottom of the car has touched nothing . . . and is even just barely dirty.
Looks to me like they wanted to get a gravy job to add to the warranty-rate job that they had to do.
I'm with carfixer007, have them show you the crack . . . and the evidence that it has been driven in rough conditions. I bet you'll get to see some tap dancing.

Looks like the brackets that hold the flex pipes together are broken off. Pretty common on the Traverse. The left side pipe has a special policy coverage for the Traverse, not sure if it is on the caddy, My guess is ythat'* why they recommended the pipes.
