2016 SRX stalled, now no start, no com to scanner

My 2016 Cadillac SRX stalled out about 2 weeks ago and hasn't run since. No crank, no start, dash goes blank when you try to start it and comes back up 30 seconds later. At the same time, the rear tailgate
won't open by key fob, outside button, or button by the interior door handle. Other than that I have full power to all else. Could this be a bad ECM? I also ask this because my scanner won't connect with the
ECM, like it doesn't exist. I have power to the OBD2 hook up, so that'* not it, just a u0100 message that it can't make a connection. I've tried 2 scanners and neither have been able to connect. Not sure how
to check out the ECM, but the car has 113,000 miles and has lived it'* entire life in both Arizona and Florida, the two hottest places in the country (imho) Looking for advice because I haven't been able to find
other posts about this online.

Looks like the same SRX as the one in this thread: https://www.gmforum.com/cadillac-174...canner-314891/
I can't see a good reason to start a new thread for this when there'* still an old thread on this issue where you have been getting responses.
I will merge this new thread with the old thread in a moment . . .

Merged duplicate threads.
Original thread runs through Post #10.
Duplicate thread had Post #11 and Post #12.
carfixer007 posted Post #13 at the same time as I merged threads, so I have no idea which thread that post was done in. Good thing the threads are merged, so it doesn't matter.
I left a 5-day expiring redirect so that we can be sure that everyone that needs to find the single thread for this issue has adequate time to find it.

Back to auto advice:
My advice is to go through this thread and report back. Checking the fuses as described by carfixer007 in Post #10 is probably the best next step.

the fuse issue has been addressed to no avail. I'm thinking that it could possibly be the ECM because the car just stalled while idling and never restarted. When
you try to start it, there is no click or sign that anything is happening, like the brain isn't getting a signal to tell the body to do something you want it to do. I was
wondering if anyone thought that was a possibility? I tried to open a new thread because people have a tendency to pass by a posting that has been up a few days
and my issue still hasn't been resolved. Should I get the issue resolved, I will post about it so that if someone has had or is having a similar issue, they may be able
to benefit from the experience. Thanks everyone, your knowledge on this subject, as always, is appreciated
