Default Wiring issues.

Im having issues finding a way to hook up the automatic dimming feature on my head unit. I keep finding it'* supposed to be a grey wire but that'* incorrect as have the rest of the colors I've been told. Ive had to individually find which speaker was which color. If I recall the only correct color was the 12v constant so my head unit also has to be **** off manually. Does anyone else have any ideas short of running new wires straight to my fuse block? It'* annoying having to manually dim/ shut off my system. Ty for any of your help. I'm also not a complete noob I grew up around car audio people with quite a few trophies under they're belt and have been installing systems correctly for years and have a bit of mechanical knowledge but I hate OEM wiring. The car is a regal LS 2004 without the Bose stereo. It does have the leather package and tweeters in the doors idk if it actually matters but I think crutchfield.com asked about it.

Ah okay.

Did it come with instructions or diagrams for different cars, and/or is there a plug-and-play harness available?

Did you get it new or used?
