My nose bearings seams to have failed today leaving work. Very loud growling noise coming from sc followed by burning the paint off the housing right around the bearing (out near pully). There has been a whine coming from sc for a while but assumed it was just sc whine. I have been reading here (lots of great info) about bad couplers. I don't believe this is the cause due to sound, heat, and location of hot zone. I have also seen that this year requiress removing whole sc to replace bearing. Is this right? Anyone have experience with bad bearing replacement? How do I determain the right replacement part? Are thereyou rebilt nose sectionsbearings available? Do you think the housing will be in tact? What type sc would this be (M60/90)? There is no oil fill port on the sc that I can find.

You may be better off just replacing the supercharger. You can pick them up cheep enough. Here'* a thread I did a while back when I rebuilt one. https://www.gmforum.com/showthread.p...light=bearings
