oil leak location??

After further review of your post...I am curious...the leak seems to be on the right by the starter cover shield. The other side of the oil pan is bone dry. The pics you posted would be on the passenger side (left facing the vehicle) where the water pump and crank are correct? My leak is coming down the right side of the oil pan next to the flywheel? Hope that helps. Sorry I am a beginner after all!

Could you please identify the rear main crank seal and the rear engine cover seal on rock auto for my 02 buick pa na? Thinking you mean this for the rear main crank seal VICTOR REINZ Part # JV1632, but not sure about the rear engine cover seal? I am needing to have the trans rebuilt! (A good bit of large metal shavings in the tranny fluid pan) So I want to have the right gaskets on hand for the transmission shop. Would this be something the shop would replace anyway, when they remove the transmission for a rebuild? When this work is done, would it be easier to change the oil pan gasket as well, or does that involve other supports and so on?
