Infotainment System NOT Entertaining
With respect to a 2014 Lasalle, the following problems range from perplexing to dangerous. With a mere 2000 miles on it, these problems came with the car.
The door chimes ring in a most irritating manner and for no reasonable reason. Can one de-activate some of these?
The radio "buttons" work via ones finger only sometimes!
Speed control can vary plus or minus 5 mph - or more!
Response time can be irritatingly *-l-o-w! Are you using a computer chip from two decades ago? What is up with this?
Now for the DANGEROUS aspect; when Dynamic Cruise Control is activated braking occurs during totally illogical times! Such as on a straight highway or not, when no vehicle is even in sight! Frustrating in the extreme and dangerous while on a congested freeway and the vehicle following you (often closely) do not anticipate such maneuvers:mad!
Sales personnel are helpless to explain the system and mechanics tell me "There is nothing wrong"!

Given your understandable frustration with what should be a trouble free new car, your Freudian slip about Lasalle is understood, I for one would rather have a pre-war Cadillac Lasalle than any new gizmo laden trouble prone new car, but I'm just old. Good luck resolving your issues with the dealer and GM.

I would make a "list" of your concerns......
Drop it off at the dealership and have them give you a loaner.....let them drive it for a few days, to see if your problems surface......have the SM, salesman or owner drive the vehicle home, in addition to any road test, a tech may do....
And yes, if the Adaptive Cruise Control is causing the vehicle to "brake" without reason, GM should know about this....it is dangerous....how often does this happen? Any special speed?
