Ignition Control Module Keeps Burning Out

Ignition Control Module Keeps Burning Out
Buick LaCrosse 2007 CXL V6 3.8L
Has 134,000 ish miles on the car. 1 year or 2 years ago, my OE ignition control module went on and Im constantly running into the new ones burning up causing the car to stall (luckily been safe every time). The place I go to (I trust them and know the guys) figured out the problem the first time it happened and luckily its been under warranty but they've replaced it now 3 times with each time have different gaps until it goes bac. Today of this post, it went out again only thing is that I bough a new AC Delco brand and applied silver paste on the back to prevent it from going out (read that buicks can be really picky with aftermarket modules) and it still went out. Luckily the place was cool with it and even praised me for keeping a backup on hand and replaced the one they put in since that one also had problems (intermittent ignition switch turn over, stall, then starts, hence the replacement). Coils were replaced years ago so I assume they're good?, same with battery, starter, ignition switch, spark plugs and cables. Its for sure the Ignition Control Module. Has any one had any luck with a specific brand part that can withstand the heat that causes it to burn out or am I cursed to constantly keep a spare to swap out when it goes out?
Thanks for any advance. Just tired of it happening and sadly cant afford a new car plus I do deliveries for work. :(

Thank you for the advice! Ill keep that in mind and do it! Are their coils out there that can withstand excessive heat? Wondering if the coils are getting so hot it could cause the ICM to get hot and ultimate burn out.

I would use OEM for all that. A bad coil can blow a good module.

Oh I see. Trying to make a list of trusted brands and see which one fits my budget. Obviously don't wont to be cheap when it comes to making sure parts last but man, I'm just still disappointed that the AC Delco brand went out haha

If you don't go with OEM you will not save money unless you don't plan on keeping the car for long.
