I have a retired friend that previously owned a courier biz in London ON.
Last time I was there, we use to take his dog for walks around town, which was good exercise for all and made everyone quite hungry!
On his property, he had a large lawn sign & it read: "Hungry Guard dog on Duty"
The dog house was placed conveniently close to his vehicles, where the German Shepard always had enough chain to wonder freely around the front of Property!
As a joke he placed a huge stainless steel empty dogy bowl mounted to side of dog house with another sign at it read: "Human Snacks" "Are Delicious"
Never had any problem with vandalism or anyone wondering about at his place!
Even the local parents warned their kids to stay away from that home!!

Soft Ride- haha sounds like the dog was secretly a friendly dog, I have always liked German Shepard'* they are nice dogs
here is a minor update, I cleaned my floormats, they are a couple of minor spots that wont come out but they turned out all right.
Before
After
here is the radio that I will be attempting to install. The former radio is a Clarion CD player with a remote control and it works great......its just ugly lol and I don't use C.D'* anymore so why not downgrade

by the way does anyone know about what outside trim differences between the P/A ultra vs the electra limited/P/A?- I have read from that the Ultra is supposed to have a unique grill and taillights?- http://tocmp.org/buick/1989/1213.jpg ......they all look the same to me- what makes the Ultra trim unique?- my car looks exactly the same as a normal P/A asides from the tu-tone paint job, what am I missing lol?

good thing that stuff works because it would be an inedible PITA to fix i think
i can see wanting it stock but the stock radio looks better? to each his own i guess.
from wiki;
Park Avenue Ultra
In 1989 and 1990, a new trim level to the Electra was offered: the Park Avenue Ultra. The Ultra was essentially an upgrade to the Electra Park Avenue line and featured standard leather trim interior, with 20-way dual electric front seats, a padded vinyl top, burled elm trim on the doors and instrument panel, unique aluminum wheels, and a variety of otherwise minor changes. The Park Avenue Ultra did not gain much popular recognition, however, until the following generation of Park Avenue, where the "Ultra" badge offered significantly more features.
Engines
3.0 L (181 in³) Buick V6 - 1985 Electra 300, 110 hp (82 kW) at 4800 rpm, 145 lb·ft (197 N·m) at 2600 rpm
3.8 L (231 in³) Buick V6 - 1985–1986 Electra 380, 1987–1990 Electra Limited, 1985–1990 Electra T-Type, 1985–1990 Electra Park Avenue, 1989–1990 Electra Park Avenue Ultra
4.3 L (263 in³) Oldsmobile diesel V6 - 1985 Electra 430
Discontinuation
The long running Electra name was dropped from Buick'* lineup at the end of the 1990 model year. Starting in 1991, "Park Avenue" became a distinct model instead of a trim designation as it had been in the past.
The Electra Estate station wagon model was an entirely different car that was based upon the 1977 full-size GM station wagon body (revised in 1980). 1990 saw the last of Electra production to make room for the Park Avenue.
The last Electra rolled off the assembly line on August 3, 1990

rjolly87- I hope some low mileage mint condition Ultra'* are still around, I'd like to compare mine to them and check out what the minor trim differences are, the other Ultra'* I have found online look the same as regular P/A'* so I don't understand what the brochure is referring to.
jwfirebird- thanks for the info, I am surprised wikipedia has a section for the 1989-1990 'Ultra'. Should add some pics of the seat controls.
As for the radio...or radios in general. I have never found 2000+ era black plastic radios aesthetically pleasing in a car that uses interior styling characteristics from the 1970'*- its just never fits- installing a modern radio in the glovebox makes sense and more people should do that.- granted the radio is black plastic but the chrome accents are typical of 1980'* styling stereo cues so it fits for the car.

i can see that. i never liked chrome personally though even if the rest of the car is. probably why i am not the type to restore, i mod. my firebird had some stock stuff like that and it was gone pretty quick. then again its not as unique as your car.
and i agree if you are going to put a aftermarket radio in a car like yours it would be better to put it in the glove box and leave the radio in there. i have a bluetooth radio in my monte that you can do alot from the phone, and it auto links you wouldnt even have to lean over and open the door

engine stuff
hey guys, I was wondering if you would be willing to help me identify this engine component? I would like to replace it as it is rather gnarly looking but I don't know what it is- I have used arrows to help identify the engine piece.
I was also curious is you guys know where the PCV valve is located on my car?. According to this thread, my car might not even have a traditional PCV valve? many thanks
the 'Ultra' is running much nicer after putting on the new mass airflow sensor and air filter

That is the transmission modulator. If you like, you can get an adjustable unit. That will allow you to bump the line pressure and firm up shifting. Plan $40 - $60, and one bolt. The new one may need to have new vacuum line to is, as it isn't perfectly identical to the stock one. They are a fairly uncommon failure point, aesthetics aside.
