I have a leak in the heater hose which attaches to the water pump. Both the water pump and the heater hose are behind the serpentine belt, pulley, and tensioner.
Do I need to remove the belt, and remove the pulley housing, alternator, etc. to access this hose or is there a better method?
There'* enough space that I'm able to get my hand down to the hose, there'* just no visibility and little room, so I thought maybe there is a better way to access the hose.....
Sort of a dumb question, I guess, but thought I'd ask before I tear the side of the engine apart. Thanks!
Pulley/Tensioner, heater hose is connected to the water pump below and behind.
You should be able to easily pull the alternator, and that should open up quite a bit of room, especially if it'* the short bypass hose that goes from the pump housing to thw lower intake manifold.
