update. shortly after transmission started acting up I began to get code for MAF sensor. I erased the code and it was OK for about a month, then came back again. I did this several time until it would just keep coming back. I tried cleaning and that didn't work so I recently replaced it. The MAF code is gone and to my surprise so is the problem with the transmission. Im sure the MAF code didn't show up until sometime after transmission problem started or I would have made that connection. So I guess it is like some have said on this forum. Don,t jump on the transmission until you rule rule out all other possibilities.

Thanks for updating us & posting the maf fix.
Now also would be a good time to consider also servicing the transmission anyways, and use dexron 6.
Your transmission will thank you, just like your wife when you take her out for dinner!
