Deer Whistles Installed !
I recently installed Bell Deer Whistles onto the Park Ave.
Any Other Members use them or electronics Versions?
In the Photo ( Bullet looking, black plastic, ahead of grille)
They work at speed above 35mph and I was saved once as Moose hesitated from walking out of ditch, as I was coming around a corner at 70mph.
This driver may have avoided this scene if they had whistles installed!
SO I guess they just carried on home anyways !
Park Ave did well, Pretty strong!
You can make your own title to photo above..LOL.

Which brand ones did you go with?
I have lots of deer around where I live/drive, and I once hit one coming home late one night, it jumped into my passenger side headlight..
I wonder if those would drive my dogs nuts, I never really go anywhere without them..
I did not have loud exhaust, but I did have a loud almost competition system before, and the deer never ran in front of me when I had the music up, lol
They got a good 1/4 mile or more of early warning from the bass.. :o
Of course that cost me around 8k, I think your method may be more cost efficient!

There are various electronic types, the Hornet comes to mind:

I read that the air activated do not work that well since you have to be at around 48-50mph before they really start to work.
I did find out that they are not supposed to bother your dogs inside the vehicle, so that is a good thing.
I may look into getting the hornet in the future, as I do not cover full coverage insurance right now, so I really do not want to have any more deer jumping out in front of my car.

They didn't stop that deer from committing suicide using my car. I never saw any response from deer or any other critters, I have my doubts these do anything.

I have quick reflexes though, so either way I think the air activated would help me a bit, I can dodge a deer if I am going under 45MPH, provided it is already in the road, lol

I've used those $5 deer whistles on five of my cars, and never had a deer collision at highway speeds. Had a few close calls at lower speeds, but thankfully the deer weren't interested in using my car to commit suicide that day. Fine by me, as I've never cared for the stuffed deer in the grille look anyway..

Trailblazer Deer Alert- Electronic Device Info
It is staggering how many insurance claims are caused by deer strikes.
In 0ne state alone (PA) I read it was like 33,000 claims per year. I hate to ask how many injury or deaths occur.
Even though the electronic hornet is probably the best, I have found another under $15, that makes chirping sounds, that appears to work well.

Seems to get good Reviews: I think the on/off switch in this instance is a must, as in town it would drive all things nuts, including driver. So the idea is to turn it on for the highway drives, where it is most needed.
Even though I have the Bell Deer Whistles installed, I think for highway safety, I will also install an electronic Trailblazer to compliment my deer protection.
