Default Clonking Noise

Last week i went to get state inspection and failed the safety because of a bad tie rod (inner) . During that week i heard a clonking noise only when in drive and when i turn the steering wheel to the left. I changed the inner tie rod today which was passenger side and thought the clonking would go away and its still there. Could this be a bad axle? Im stumped help! Thanks guys

single clunck or constant clunking? single while turning could be ball joint or sway bar end link, constant is more like cv shafts

Sounds like a sway bar end link.

I doubt it'* an endlink. When mine broke, it made a distinct metallic sound, not really a clonk or clunk. Does it happen when you push up and down above the affected wheel?

I've seen broken end links, and loose end links (stretched bolts) and that makes a loud click or knock. Broken end links don't make much if any noise. Because it makes the noise when turning left the problem would seem to be on the right side. Check over everything looking for any play.

I should also add that when i changed the inner tie rod , there was some fluid in the bellows boot, no major puddles but when i look in there that was some fluid in there and my steering wheel even after alignment is still crooked and the steering wheel is a bit loose

If the steering is loose thats usually a pitman arm/idler arm or worn gearbox
