I feel Your Pain....It'* a love hate relationship. Did you talk nicely to your car today?
The nice thing about owning a car is that you get to "run around" town in them.
Put enough miles on them and they will give you the "run around" until your broke fixen it.
Cars are like boats, the happiest day is the day you buy it and the day you sell it.....
Everything else is $1000 dollars bills in between!
Well I keep buying lottery tickets hoping I can buy a new luxury car one day soon!!

Many just lease new wheels & turn the keys in every 4 years, and start over.
What kinda econobox are u thinking about?
Honda/Toyota have best resale value, and good parts availability should something fail.

i was looking at the cruze eco. seems like it will suit my lead foot well. i also have discovered the relative cheapness of the Cadillac cts. i really like the interior of those cars, (luxury package only though) the standard gearbox (no slush boxes to go bad) and the stock projector headlights.

i need to do some research on the 3.2 in it though. i know the n* v8'* are problematic but i havent heard alot about the 3.2.

wouldnt buy any caddy anything, they are as bad as ford. the cruze eco seems good, there is a guy at work that has one. he gets 39-40mpg pretty consistently but its like any car you have to keep your foot out of it to get those numbers. and cant be going 10+ mph over the limit and expect good fuel efficiency either. my monte gets between 30 local and 34hwy all the time with a 240hp car that goes 0-60 in 7.5. but you have to stay off the gas, in any car

your better off if she is anything like my wife. thats why i got the sse. she drives too fast already she dont need a */c. but its got all the cool stuff. and gets alot better mileage. though the guys with the */c may be the type that just generally get bad mileage. but most say 20. my wife gets 28 because she is a impatient driver and its got 3.06 gears. my father inlaw says he gets 32-34 hwy with his se. and the 3800 is bullet proof if you maintain it

What year bonni'* are we talking about ?
I just hesitate on any cars with over 50k on them now. Not interested in fixing stuff too much anymore. I know new cars are $ BUT..the warranty/reliability/gas mileage is everything for daily driver'*.
Some of the new 4 bangers get impressive mileage and fairly high HP too!

the 4cyl are geared for city though so if your commute is city that would be a good choice. if you are driving country two lanes or mostly highway, a 3500 monte or impala get as good or better than most of those 4cyl cars. and you get a much better car for everything, comfort, reliability, trunk space, etc... they want to much for those little cars too. you can get 06+ for 10-15k with less than 50k miles. they want just as much for the newer 4cyl cars
