Buick Skyhawk (1st gen J-body) general information needed
Okay, here we are, I own a 1983 Buick Skyhawk wagon in beige with a brown interior, automatic, manual windows, with the smallest engine offered, a 1.8 liter inline 4. I understand these older j-body'* are rather rare, mostly because they aren't desirable... and many barely survived the 80'*. Anywho, I need some parts, my car isn't completely rust free, and the wiring is a little wonky due to an oddly inserted car alarm that was once on the car.
First off, are the doors of the wagon and the four-door sedan interchangeable? I would like to think so, but I'd rather not be wrong and be out a hundred bucks.
Second, I understand that Cadillac'* Cimarron was a J-body, and I was thinking it would be interesting to convert my front end to a Cimarron, would that be a direct bolt-on to my vehicle?
Third, how would I be able to convert my windows to electric?
Fourth, back to the wiring, the cigarette lighter doesn't work because of the aforementioned car alarm, additionally, a newer radio was put in, however whenever the car restarts the radio station and all presets disappear, I was told this was a wiring problem by the previous owner.
Thank you, if you have any answers, please reply.
