I know that the surface was clean, it'* a brand new tensioner :P I also lubed the o-ring before sliding the elbow in. It still leaks until the engine warms up every time (4 sets of elbows and a new tensioner later) But I think this car just hates me. Like I said, never had an issue with the SSEi. The elbow swap is an easy job, just do like Bill says and you should have no problems.

I sure wish I knew what I was doing wrong, I'm tired of topping this thing off and so is my wallet.

If only you lived about 900 miles closer :P

If it'* still leaking when you have your next meet I'll take you up on that. I'm hoping that once it gets warm out it will stop leaking. When the engine is warm, the elbow is solid in place and won't move. When the engine is cold, the elbow is loose and wiggles and leaks.

Well, they are the elbows that are made for the NA 3800. Maybe not OEM. I've used multiple different kinds though, all leaking. I'm pretty sure that I wiggled it and made sure it was not tight when I put it in this last time per Bill'* instructions in a different thread. I've been messing with it and the res doesn't seem to have dropped very much over the last week. I'll have to look at it when I start it up tomorrow morning to see if it'* still leaking or maybe I found a sweet spot.

I use whatever elbows I can buy. Pretty sure they are all made in one plant.

It'* not leaking today .

I'm going to blame it on the weather and the punishment its been subject to going from 0 degrees to 200 degrees and vice versa a couple times a day. Now that it'* sticking around 40 degrees I haven't seen it leaking. We'll see how that holds up.
