Ok so today I removed the tranny for not the first, not the second, not third, not even the fourth but I pulled the transmission out of my parents car for the fifth freaking time today. The day after I installed the rebuilt transmission I hop in it and guess what! The freaking thing slips and bangs into gear when the tranny is cold. After about the fourth stop sign it banged into gear so hard the tires chirped and then I had no movement forward or reverse. I walked the mile or so back to my house grabbed the scanner and go back to the car. I was able to command the trans into 2nd with the scanner and get the car home. I called the tranny guy and he tells me to pull it and he will fix it. So I pull it for the 4th time and take it back to his shop 35miles away. A couple of days later he calls me and says its fixed. When I pick it up he shows me the one way sprague clutch and it won't hold even with his hands. I said we'll this is for sure why it wouldn't move in 1st but was that the slip bang issue in the first place and he says most likely. So I get it back home install it again and just like before the first start up it goes right into gear, I drive it and it seems good. Next morning I hop in it to pick up my kid from school and guess what! THE FRICKING THING SLIPS UNTIlL IT WARMS UP! I'm sorry for not updating this thread but I have been so pissed at this POS I haven't felt like discussing it with anybody. But now I need your mortal support, I've came to the conclusion that if you want something fixed right you just need to do it yourself. So I ordered a new forward apply piston and seals from the dealer yesterday. I picked them up and removed the tranny today. From what I can tell from the research I've done on the net the most common cause for this issue is the inner lip of the piston gets a grove and causes fluid to leak by the seal until the tranny warms up. So tomorrow I'm going into this puppy and fixing it myself. This time I took lots of pics and it still took less than 2 hours to have it on the ground.
