2006 Buick Ranier erratic electrical issues
I have a 2006 Buick Ranier 4.2 L V6. About a week ago I noticed my fuel gauge was acting up. After a fill up it kept reading different fuel levels on my drive home. On my drive into work last night I noticed my headlights were acting strange. They would get very dim for 5 to 10 seconds, then get very bright for 5 to 10 seconds. It alternated like this my entire 20 minute drive to work. I know there is a headlight recall for this make and model.
After work I had to stop and get gas. After filling up my fuel gauge still showed empty. On the drive home from the gas station (about 5 miles) I began having severe electrical issues with many of my electrical components. These ranged from headlights, interior lights, and the radio. I was getting warnings on the dash about my stability controls and the braking system. Eventually the car sputtered out and refused to start. The entire electrical system continued to act erratically while sitting there. Cannot get the car to start. The starter won't even try to turnover.
Anyone else have the same issues or anyone know what the fix is for this?
Thanks,
Bhaubs

You have listed so many problems, where do we begin?
First, your fuel gauge......the usual problem is the fuel level sender in the tank....if your tank is reading empty when you know you have a full tank, disconnect the harness to the tank.....turn key to on, not start....should read full....
Lights dimming? How old is the battery? Have the state of the battery checked, and have the charging of the alternator checked.....also check all connections at the battery, starter, and alternator, and ground connections...low voltage problems can cause all kinds of problems....
