Default 2002 Buick LeSabre key fob no 8 pin on obd2 port

I called dealers locksmiths everyone that could do the programming on the key fob (*). Everyone is charging around $100 or more to do this job. I happened to get a hold of a small service/dealer Buick / gmc that only charges $25.00 I had to ask them twice on the price. They said $25.00 to do it no matter how many they had to program i paid $13.00 for 2 keys fobs online. I think I got a hell of a deal for 38.00 brand new key fobs with new batteries and programmed out the door $38.00 if anyone reads this call some smaller towns call around do not go to big dealers they will stiff you hard just like a locksmith I live in Peoria Illinois population 160,000 called Canton Illinois Buick gmc population 17,000 a 15-25 minute drive is well worth it.

Yes, I could never understand this....if the job only takes 5 minutes, why would anyone charge an hour'* labor? Greed, and poor customer relations.....

It takes you longer to do the paperwork than the job itself......

Our policy was, if you were a steady customer, we charged you nothing for this.....we had the same policy for locked out radios....

If you were someone who never came in the shop, we explained we would program your radio or fob or key for you, charge 0.25 hr of labor, but if you brought in your own parts, we would attempt it twice, and if it failed, we go no further and charge you the 0.25 hr.....you won't believe the amount of cases where a customer brought in wrong fob, or battery was dead, or fob was no good, or key was no good or wrong key, or tried to swap radios....or there was a problem with the system......

We would diagnose the problem for them if they wanted, but now they would be on the clock.....

I did my homework on buying the fobs and read reviews I agree with you on stupid people blaming the shop cause there never to blaim on there stupidity on not knowing anything about parts I think Buick gm should reimburse me as a Buick owner. A lot of things aren't right but how do you charge a Buick owner to program a key fob 100.00 a key fob cause of a college engineer and the next year Buick can be done without a programmer/computer
