My dad has a 2001 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with 75k miles. The car is equiped with Stabilitrak. I was driving it in town the other day and the Driver Information center chimed and said "SERVICE STABILITY SYSTEM" then it went away. I checked the owners manual. It says if this shows up just simpily pull over and turn off the engine, wait 5 seconds then start the engine. I did that and it was fine. Last night my dad was comming back from a business dinner in his car and as he was leaving the parking lot the "SERVICE STABILITY SYSTEM" warning came on again. He pushed a button on the DIC and it disappeared. Any idea what the problem is?

Is this the traction control? If so, mine is busted too. Just let it goo, you'll be better off without it performance wise. Most likely its a short in the system.
