Default 1993 Buick Skylark Gran Sport - Massive Cabin Water Leak(*)

I believe this is an N body car. It does not have a sunroof. I am experiencing significant water intrusion into the driver side floor pans, both front and rear. I removed the front cowl and cleaned out all the debris. Was wondering if someone could advise me of the usual places where the leaks occur so I can fix them while I have everything taken apart.

One thing I noticed that did not look quite right is the shape of the air inlet box under the cowl. There is a part having number 52470821 called "Cover - Air Inlet Opening" that looks like it has a chunk missing from the side. Can anyone tell me if it is supposed to look like this. Pic attached.

Looks like a chunk from driver'* side is missing.

I dont know for certain but it looks like there would be a cover and that opening you describe is a designed inlet

That does look like a missing chunk.

I'd check door seals for the leak
