What if you select [2] and accelerate slowly to 30-40MPH and hold it there?

How about if you do the same thing, keep going at 30-40MPH for about ten seconds, then select 3. It should shift to the next gear. Now keep going the same speed for a while. Any surging?

I could not get it to surge at all during my last drive, whether it was when I was testing what you said, or even driving normally. As I mentioned before, it seems to go away and come back, and as of now it seems to be away. This issue has completely confused me 😂
