John...did you have to move the steering column or rack in the process?

Not that I know of. The car was sitting on its tire when I started Bill (because of the leaking strut) I raised the front all the way up to get at the top strut bolts easier (150 pounds PSI to the airbagstruts) Dont see how this would make the IM shaft travel, but the clunk is gone so ???

The car has extended warranty. I wanted to get the air suspension off the front of the car first because the leaking airbag strut was getting worse, plus I didnt want the chance the dealer might point to my alterations and deny the fix under warranty.

The problem now is, if it isnt clunking, they arent going to fix it. GM has gotten anal about Dealers documenting problems before they perform covered service.

I'm new to this forum and a new owner of an 05 Bonneville GXP and this is off topic...I see you added a factory xm radio to your car, I'm wanting to do the same, can you help me out..? and where did you find the XM radio. One other thing...under the hood up by the cowl there is an access panel.. Air filteration system. Is that where the cabin filter belongs??? there is no filter in there now.

Thanks Tim

Ya Tim, They forgot to put the cabin in 95% of them. For some odd reason a few have them and it'* a "listed" option. WTF?? Anyway, most parts stores have them, go for the drop in one, not the cheapy, that lays in there and pretends to filter air. I thought all '05'* came with XM. Are you sure it'* not in your monsoon and not activated. Weird. Push comes to shove, you can buy one at wally world and run the modulating wire under the dash and it will come in on your FM. Any further discussion, please start another thread. This Northstar sections Needs more threads....LOL
