Default Loud clunking noise from rear of car

Has anyone had this problem with their Bonnie GXP? Just started about a week ago. Sounds to me like a strut problem But I haven't had a chance to look. I will take it to the dealership tomorrow but thought I would ask here first.

Thanks all.

strange, thats really soon to develop a clunking noise... perhaps its something as simple as the spare tire??

Sorry guys. Already did that. The sound is more focused to the right side of the car. Thought it might be spare as I had it out a little while back but checked and everything is tight. I will check again though.

Thanks.

Just another thought, could the exhaust system be moving around and hitting something? You might try moving / shaking it a bit to see if you hear anything.

I tried that but couldn't get the same noise. The exhaust is pretty tight. Anyway, I have to put the car in the shop this Friday to get the front break calipers looked at so I will get them to check it out then.

I am getting a high pitched squeal/rattle from the front breaks. I read in a previous post that stated the caliper might be hanging up. So, this is also my opportunity to get the ceramics put on.

Thanks for the input.

I don't know if the rear suspension is the same on the GXP, but on the earlier 2000+ models the rear top strut mount would go and cause quiite a clunk in the back.

They arent the same. the GXP has it'* own suspension, designate FE5 . I wouldnt think the mount would give so early in its life.... But with this car.... anythings possible. Did you get it to the Dealer yet DP?
