Still hadn't gotten it to the dealership yet, but i have filled it up twice now and the Gallons used has been right on the money both times. Said i used 11.3 gallons and when i filled it back up it took in 11.326 gallons!! lol But Now im convinced that the issue with the fuel gauged is the fuel needle. Sometimes it works and show what it should just by comparing it to the gallons used (which i know is right) and maybe 8 out of 10 times when i start the car the needle is all the way to the right and resting on the black part of the Speed O..... So my question is will a GM dealership be able to find a new GXP speed O in a warehouse somewhere? ( either way im going to let them deal with that issue with the warranty folks!!! All i have to pay is a $100 deductible)

They ahve to carry replacement parts till at least the end of warranty periods, Which like me also have a ways to go. Mine isn't due to run out till Jan 17, 2013 seeing the mileage won't hit 70k by then. I'm thinking the stepper motor for the needle as well. Stealth is one of three I remember who have had that problem with the GXP. And the whole dash cluster is one soldered unit. They have to replace it all so that'* a good thing. All gauges will be fresh if they replace under warranty.

Yep, and using a one piece integrated cluster of gauges save them some dollars production wise yet cost a fortune for people out of warranty to fix when it'* just one gauge that has broke.

Ok, So i may get to the dealership next week but tonight i thought my Alt had taken a **it b/c the volt meter was in the red line area before the 14 when it'* always about an inch or two just past the 14... So i pulled out my Alt/Battery tester that you plug in to the lighter plug and it read low (i was at a redlight with lights, brake pressed and just stitting there) so after taking off it said good!! So when i got home i pulled out the rear seat and checked the alt with my DMM and it was reading 14.6 and 14.7 while the volt meter on the dash was at 0... with the car still running and lights, radio on nothing was flickering either.. But the DMM confirmed that the speedO has taking a **it.... I wonder which on is next to scare the heck out of me!! lol All i was thinking about it GREAT im about to hit the highway for 5miles heading home and this is all i need to be on side of the highway with no lights waiting on AAA... lol Oh well, It'* all good!!

Well one good thing about an integrated cluster is you will get all new gauges. Howz your battery. Mine finally give out. It would start the car day to day fine, but leave it for a week... dead.

Yea thats true...... My battery is the OE battery that came with the car (well im not sure if prv owner changed it) but don't think so!! But it'* been pretty strong the whole time ive owned the car a going on 2 years... But i have been at the car wash and did alittle vac, cleaning out and alittle detailing on the outside and i did have the radio on low the whole hour and when i thought about starting it up the battery was dead... So is that something i can always expect with this car? B/C in my Intrepid i can leave the radio on 3 hours and it won't kill the battery!! but Im going to have GMC dealership check it while they have the car and replace it if it'* bad...
