ETCBM Cooked
Well it finally happened, my ETCBM is fried, my ABS and TC light went on as I was driving home from my friends wedding out of town. Luckily no issues until I turned off the car, had the dash lights go off, then reversed, put the car in gear and wwrrrrtttt, vrrrrr...csskkk...wrrrrr
$1100 bones, meh it was on borrowed time anyway, last time this happened they managed to reseat the wiring into the module, I guess it came loose again. Either way, the car is undriveable until this gets fixed

Basically, the way it was explained to me before is the ETCBM is not reading the data from the wheel speed sensor correctly. Both wheels turn at the same rate, however the module is reading one piece of data on the left and interpreting it, then the other wheel speed sensor is sending similar data, but the module is not correctly deciphering the data.
Therefore, the car engages TC thinking the wheels are spinning at different speeds. Now this works whe you turn off the TC, but its a habit I need to develop.
Personally I hate broken parts and I will be spending the dough to get it fixed.
I figured that 10 000 dollar line of credit would be good for something

would pulling the ABS fuse fix it or not? I sure hope mine doesn't go bad. I can't afford it. I've thought about keeping the Riviera as a project car anyway and buying something else for a daily driver. It'* hard to pass up 31 MPG like my bro is getting in his 00 SLE.. I only get 26 AND have to run premium.

Update
The ETCBM is installed, no more traction control issues. Installation was idiot proof, coulda done it myself, but I wanted a host of other things done too (scan etc). Once the module was installed the traction issues ceased, however after a spirited drive the ABS light came on again
The scan revealed an open or shorted speed sensor.
The General quoted me $400+ for the hub assembly and 1hr labour.
Called a friend, he can get the hub for $230 brand new. And thats where we stand at this point.
