That Malibu went with the last Cutlass'* and Im not sure what else.
Seems to me that a 3.5 litre DOHC should be able to produce.

Hmmm..ok, well I'm no expert at GM chassis but an Intrigue and a GP look nothing alike but compartively, the Malibu and the Intrigue do...

If all the W bodys sat side by side you would see the resemblence. If they were up on lifts you would need some clues to figure out what is which car. Granted the newer gen has less sheet metal & styling in common than the first gen W. Those Lumina were W also.
I'd like to see someone work up an Intrigue. Havent yet. Maybe in a few more years when they a cheap enough and some of the young guys get them for first cars. There a few body kits for them.
I wish I had saved that Olds page that had the SVO ? SOV ? or whatever they were. It was mabye OSV Oldsmobile special vehicals ? They were all pretty sharp cars. With GFX, lowered and stiffer suspension, probably final drives. I just cant remember all of it. They even had a version of the Van, whatever that was.

OSV, those were some sweet oldsmobiles, probably could have prevented the end of olds too. from what i understand they were already all set to be made, had a factory and everything, weeks away from actuall production. then they announced the end of oldsmobile.....
OSV intrigue had a high output 4.6 northstar, 315hp, 295tq
was also a 442 intrigue with a 4.0 northstar in the works
early osv intrigues had a supercharged 3.5 dohc

OSV Alero had a high output 3.5dohc 245hp 255tq
earlier osv alero'* had a supercharged 2.4
there was even a OSV sillowete 210hp, 235tq but who cares about that, ive yet to see any pics of that, but like i said, who cares
im suprised they never had a aurora osv being designed, supercharged 4.0 or 4.6.......drool
at first they came with a 3800, for 1 year i think. then got the 3.5. not really sure how anyone can call them SLOW, there good for mid 15'*, equal if not better than a grand prix gt, even a stock l67 bonneville isn't too much quicker, just barely. the aurora'* with a 3.5 got high 15'* 1/4, 4.0'* got mid 15'*. its a little bit of a high revving engine, not a torque monster like the 3800'*
no way associated with the malibu, cept the gm name. like someone else said, its a variation of the grand prix/regal. to bad gm never put on a gfx kit, that osv was sweeeet looking.
