Default Wiring Diagram for 94SE Stereo Harness

I am connecting an RF modulated CD changer in my B'vile. Can anyone tell me where I can pick up (and what specific wire colors they are) and switched 12V source and a constant 12V source for the changer. The control box can be mounted either under the dash or in the trunk with the changer.

The existing harness to the radio is stock as is the radio. It is the single CD unit w/Am/FM and bass treble (no eq).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Default Wiring Diagram for 94SE Stereo Harness

Grant,

I looked at the factory harness going into my radio and I have more wires than you identify and they are all solid colors - no stripes. I have no red but several shades of green and blue.

Do you have any other info that might identify which are the switched and constant 12V wires. I can find a chassis ground if I need to but the 12V colors I need.

Thanks,

Mike

solid black is always chassis ground in the radio harness. It'* okay to have more wires to your harness than I have written out...those are for other features, including steering wheel buttons, stuff like that. Those wires above are the bare necessities for a radio to function properly. I took my radio out and put in an aftermarket system (minidisc player ) and the harness had a red and yellow. So I'm surprised yours doesn't. Let me do some digging.

What do you need, exactly?
Switched by the ignition or the radio? Constant on even when the car is off?

This should help. Look at the wire colors. I believe my wire colors above are only for the "new radios"
