This week I started a custom build in my 01 SE. I am basing it on function over form. The sub and am rack will be mounted in a manner that allows me to reach my spare tire or us my trunk. Here is my audio line up
Head unit- Eclipse CD7000
Fronts- Diamond Audio Hex Components 6.5"
Rear Deck- JBL P963 6x9'*
Alternator- Motor City Reman 200 amp
Big 3 upgrade- Welding cable
Sound Deadening- elemental designs edead and hushmat
Secondary battery- Shuriken 2600 cca dry cell
4 Channel- Arc Audio FD4150
Sub amp- Arc Audio FD1200.1
Sub- Planet Audio BB215D
Box total air space- 4 cubic ft.
I
Started by sound deadening my entire trunk.
Then the rear deck
Different view of rear deck. Everything got about 3 layers
Then I hit all four doors with 3 layers
Planet Audio Big Bang 15
Wired to 2 ohms with 8ga. wire!
I mounted it off center so could have room for my aero ports
Sub surround compared to a diamond audio D6 15 hahaha!

this is what you get when you put a 15" sub in a box 16" tall
me cutting parts for the amp rack
Better view of the amp rack. I am gonna ghost mount the amps and put plexi glass above them and lights below them. It shold be nice! There will be more pics to come soon!

This is the sub amp. The 4 channel is an exact match. The grey end caps hide all wiring and connections

Arc boasts that these amps were made to be played loud and for long periods of time so they came with internal 3" fans on their base. I cut a hole in the amp racks so they could breathe.

it doesn't look like it but trust me. The amp rack pictures does make it look like it'* deeper than it is but it doesn't even reach the back of the wheel well and my box stops right at the beginning of the trunk. Then I'm gonna carpet a piece of wood for a center piece that can be removed to reach my spare. I won't be able to stuff my trunk but a few bags or a cooler should be doable. Okay probably at best lol!
