MB quart 6.5 component opinions...
i'm thinking of picking these up: http://cgi.ebay.com/MB-QUART-DSE-216...QQcmdZViewItem
or these:
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=12428
anyone used these or can suggest something else in the same price range and can handle 120rms?
i noticed the freq response of the mb quarts is alot larger and higher then the DA. opinions would be greatly appriciated.
thanks guys!

a search would yield you what most people think about them. Its not the first time MB quarts have been brought up.
Personally, they are not my slice of cake, doesn't mean they are bad. the titanium tweet is going to be harsh.
what year and model car are they going into?

95 nissan maxima se.
thanks for asking.
they will go with some $100 pioneer 6.5'* for the rear.
sound is round.
oh and my two 12'' JL subs...so i need something for the front now and i'v heard good things about MBQ but i really should get a silk tweeter i didn't even notice it was titanium.
anything 6.5 component under 175 shipped which will take 120rms and i'm set. i would also consider buying used if anyone has something i might be interested lieing around...

Methinks you mean Watts. Not rms.

RMS Power Range (Watts)
The range of RMS power the speaker requires to operate safely and properly. RMS Power Handling refers to the amount of power a speaker can handle on a continuous basis.

so i went with something completely different...
i'm buying a pair of brand new CDT EF-61 6.5" CF components:
http://www.mmxpress.com/cdtaudio/efseries.html
These have a tweeter upgrade to a TW-25 silk: http://www.cdtaudio.com/SilkSoftDomeTweet.htm
An upgraded x-over to a SatNet 560i: http://www.cdtaudio.com/satnet456-642.htm
they should take 140rms each which works well with my 150x2 amp...so i'm excitied. and my old JL subs are going to be back in there sealed box, no more ported ****, and i'm going to throw a new amp on them and crank em up to around 175rms each. i'm thrilled. time to make myself deaf.
hopefully it will sound as good as i have been told they do. the retail price for this stuff is crazy. i hope it'* all worth it...
anyone else have experience with these or comments on them?
