Default Making Custom Box :)

I have decided to make a custom box, to make my trunk look good, not cheap. I need to know if it hurts having two subs firing at each other, across the trunk. I want to make 2, indentical boxes to hold 1 sub each, and place 1 on one side of the trunk, and one on the other. They will be like this:

The boxes and subs would be up against the walls of the trunk also. All help and advice is appreciated.

Thanks

facing towards the front will cause cancellation proven unless the front is completely sealed from the rear

Facing towards the back of the trunk is the recommended way.

Facing each other might cause cancellation when the two waves meet in the middle, you may have to wire one out of phase.

so, the way i have it, and the current idea would be bad....hmmmm...well, I might stick with the idea i had and just turn the sub boxes another 90 degrees and keep them split. What do you think about seperating the subs into two seperate boxes ibanez?

its not how many boxes it the fact of cancellation..

see bass is a wave and if two or more waves collide it will do the exact opposite of what your trying to accomplish..

People who think there subs sound awesome facing forward would probably pass out if they turned em around LOL..

I can offer this.. Try it, and find out..

what i am saying is, will having two seperate boxes facing the rear hurt compared to having 1 box facing the rear?

here is my plan:

Right now it will be 1.36 cubic feet per box, for an 8" sub. I plan to fill the box in down to .8 cubic feet. Tell me what you think of my plan. The boxes will set on both sides of the trunk pass through, firing towards the rear.
