Looking for power leads in trunk tied to the ignition...
Hi all...
I am going to mount an MP3 box in my '93 Bonnie. I have all the hardware and software but i need a power lead in the trunk that is tied to the iginition. The hardware I have will shut down the computer a set time after the car is turned off (I have it set at 1 min) but I need the line in the trunk and i would like to avoid running more wires if at all possable!
Thanks for the help ppl.

Remote turn on, or true power lead? Remote turn on could be the power antennea when stereo is on, or inflator switch power (might work for true power) when car is on. True power might need a new lead.

I don't have the inflator in my trunk, that is only on the SSEi, i have the SSE. The antenna may work, I just have to see if it is pumping out 12v and see what the fuse is rated for. The circuitry i have already has a fuses built in so I could run it off the battery if i really wanted to (but i don't!). I may just breakdown and run the wire from either the Radio it'* self or another wire that goes hot when the car is turned on.

Of course, I doubt that circuit (whichever ones it'* on) is rated for any majorly-heavy loads...
