Interesting, the bulb behind radio lcd came back to life
It'* broken even before I got the car. But today I suddenly found that I could easily see the time (granted, 2 hours off, ) and the FM/AM frequency. Hah, ,interesting. I would wonder how long will that last. Anybody see something similar before?

Reminds me of when I pulled my cluster, only one bulb was out. Put it back in, that bulb magically was working again, yet 3 bulbs on the other side of the cluster didn't work anymore.

Have you already read about the inexpensive fix for that?

Ya know, I'm not totally convinced that it'* always the bulbs burning out. I just went through this with mine, The middle and right side of the display wouldn't light up. I went to Radio Shack and picked up some 12V bi-pin incandescent lights, and replaced the 2 that werent lighting up. The first time I put the radio back in, the whole display was blank. I took it out again and checked everything over. The little metal box that holds the actual screen stuff has those tabs that you have to bend to hold it to the circuit board. Under those tabs are little patches of solder. What I found was that a few of those tabs weren't making a solid connection with the solder patches. I tweaked them a little, and voila I had a display again. Just something simple to check out before you pull out the soldering iron.
