I am getting ready to install an amp in my wife'* Bonne and first order of buisness is getting my hi voltage 12v Pos. wire ran to the trunk area. I just got finished doing a pretty large install in my 87 Mustang Gt so I am ready to get started on this job but first I wanted to ask everyone here something.
Where would be the best spot to run the 12v Pos. wire thru the firewall area into the pasenger compartment? I ask because I know on a lot of cars it can be hit and miss sometimes until you get the best spot for ease of pulling the wire, looking OEM.....ect. I did a search and found everything but something about this. It may be a no brainer as to where on these cars but I havent worked on Bonne'* much so how they are configured is new to me. The battery is on the passenger side so I figured maybe I could go in thru that side as there already are a couple of harnesses penetrating the wall there. I looked at it from inside the car after taking the black panel down and it appears to be a bit of a distance from what appears to be the computer back behind to that side of the firewall. Maybe it would be better to bring the wire around and send it thru on the drivers side.
If any of you could pass along your experiences with this I would appriciate it greatly. Thank you.

I dont have any experience with the previous generation bonnevilles but i know that on my car i found a gromet on the passenger side of the firewall. I actually ran my upgraded power wire through it and down the passenger side. If you dont see a true entrence check under the dash by the driverside near the E brake and drill a hole with a step bit and install your own gromet. The amp kits usually come with a hard plastic one anyway. I hope that at the least I reinforced what you already thought of.
