Friends New Subs... Looking for a BIG amp for cheap (ish)
Well my buddy (BlackBetty) and I went and picked up his new subs today... 2 12" Pioneer Premier Champion Pro'* in about a 4.25 cu ft ported box tuned to 40hz...
We r doing his audio install now on his 2010 Impala, had problems putting his HU in... all went smoothly, HU tunred on, had sound but would not shut off, so i used a DMM to find the switched wire, found it but still having issues.
back on topic... each sub is 1000w rms, 3000w max. dual 4 ohm. the guy he bought em from was giving em 2200w rms by a AudioQue 2200.
Now he is in the market for a reasably prices (about $400 or less) big, 1 ohm stable amp. Maybe something along the lines of a MA Audio HK4000D, or HK802sx...
was looking at the Hifonics amps but i dont like em much... ive had em and so has about everyone else and they just dont last, especially at 1 ohm.
Any ideas for a reliable, 1 ohm stable, 2000w rms or higher at 1 ohm (or even better at 4 ohm) cool running amp?
MonteLS? any ideas?
