I'd rewire those front doors if I were doing new speakers. I had to do my drivers side because it had a break somewhere, and I couldn't find it.
I'm sure you could get a passive crossover for components in the door somewhere. Good luck with the install!

2. plenty of room for a small crossover in the doors of my 2000 (appx6"x4"x3")
3. corner of window where the mirror is
5. if you have a 2000+ there is no passthrough from doors to kick panels.. its all harnessed and gay. i drilled holes, used grommets and some split loom tubing to run them separate from the harnbess
6. locks out the remote control and or button in glove box to prevent theft
