Hey darkmetal,
I'm planning on a trip to the auto wrecker tomorrow so I can see up close what these look like. It'* been crazy at work and I just haven't had a chance. I'll post a message tomorrow. If you purchase the blue LED lamps which are a drop-in replacement for a #74 bulb, they will already have the required current/voltage limiting resistor in the base. It'* only if you want to add a discreet LED you need to worry about extra parts. In any event, I'll take a closer look tomorrow and let you know.

They at bulb # 74

You may also want to order some new twist in bases that the bulbs plug into. Over time the plastic may have become brittle and could create a challenge when you want to pull out the old bulbs and put the new ones in. Just a thought to save some possible headaches later.

When I went to the wrecker the other day and pulled one from a vehicle, the bulb was marked '74'. Also, when I went to the Sylvania website, this is the number listed for the courtesy lamp. I can't be absolutely positive because I have limited experience with pre-2000 Bonnevilles, but everything so far says they are #74 lamps. The other possiblity may be that a previous owner has already made some modifications.
