Bonneville Stereo

Bonneville Stereo
I'd like to ask anyone who has an aftermarket receiver in their 2000-2005 Bonneville what type of receiver they used. I've previously attempted to install a high end Sony in my 2001, but the depth of it prevented me from doing so because of Bonneville'* opening being too shallow. I'm trying to find a stereo that will fit. Double din is okay.
I fully wired in the Sony I bought, so I'm not looking for help with wiring, the door chime problem, or anything like that. I understand the installation process, just need help finding the right shallow stereo.
Thanks in advance.

You dont necessarily have to buy here.. but if you go to bestbuy.com and check out their stereos they have an option that lets you put in your make and model and as you look through the stereos they offer it will say "FIT" "NO FIT" and if you dont want to buy from there just write the model number of the stereo you like down and buy somewhere else, or whatever you'd like to do.

By high end Sony I meant the best head unit Sony made at the time. When I installed it I did cut away the plastic from the back of the hole, but the HU hit the firewall and still stuck out about 1.5" if I'm thinking correctly. It stuck out far too much to try to mount it that way.
Mouse, did you use the box made by (I believe) Metra when you installed? I'm asking because that little box takes up some space in the back and maybe would prevent a normal depth stereo from being mounted. Also, do you remember about how deep your HU was?
Thanks for all the replies.
